bed acute care hospital, 150
bed extended care and short term facility as well as a multitude of primary care and speciality care practices. The Geriatric Nurse Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of professional nursing services in the management of an entire unit on a given shift. Special emphasis is placed on instruction, supervision and coordination of nursing personnel and all related functions of a unit. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Director or Assistant Director of Nursing Services with considerable latitude permitted for the exercise of independent judgment in planning and carrying out assigned duties. The Geriatric Nurse Manager must have at least an Associate's Degree in Nursing with a minimum of three years clinical experience as an RN and two years of leadership experience.
