Lab Technician

Job Overview
R&D Lab technicians are responsible for the testing, documentation and reporting of experiments performed on laboratory test rigs, prototype boilers and combustion systems. R&D Lab technicians will need to work as an integral part of a team with the ultimate goal of designing, testing, and releasing new products to market.

Tasks & Responsibilities
Perform laboratory build up and experimentation on test rigs and prototypes
Document and communicate test results
Trouble shoot a wide variety of issues (i.e. combustion, electrical, and controls)
Modify systems that are working improperly
Attention to working with parts or components that require special care in handling
Test and troubleshoot using superior levels of mechanical manipulative skill
Familiarity with operation of assembled products in order to make modifications and parts substitutions in a new process.
Actively participate in lab 5S policy
Use independent judgment and thought processes to complete tasks
Is responsible for all other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
A High School Diploma or GED
At least 1 year of experience working in a lab or similar industrial environment
Diligence to complete challenging tasks involving final assembly build-up of lab test rigs
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools and test equipment
Ability to work independently and safely in a boiler development lab
Excellent organizational and communication skills are a must
Ability to follow complex schematics, final assembly blueprints and other input documents of similar complexity with minimum supervision, using considerable judgment in planning work sequence and determining the functionality of the completed item

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
